Edison, NJ- [NY Post]Let the sex-travaganza begin!
Hundreds of horndogs packed a New Jersey convention center yesterday to gawk at porn stars and play with sex toys – part of a raunchy sex industry trade show that was forced to change venues at the last minute because of a state ban on mixing nudity and alcohol.
EXXXOTICA New York – which opened at the Raritan Center in Edison – features nearly 100 exhibitors and dozens of porn stars.
“I’m having a great time,” said Mark Stigliano, 26, who lives in Mount Laurel, NJ. “I was curious to see what this was all about.”
The three-day show – open to everyone 18 and over – ends tomorrow. Admission is $37.
The event, which attracted 22,000 people when it was held in Miami earlier this year, was almost canceled this week because of a lawsuit by the town of Secaucus, the original venue.
Edison Mayor Jun Choi, who has no plans to attend the show, said he was not happy the event had come to his town – and that there was nothing he could do to stop it.
“There is no place for this in our family-oriented community,” he said.
