Stonewall Induction Details

The induction, announced by Falcon|NakedSword president and CEO Tim Valenti, includes FalconINK’s first two novellas: “Hard Ball” and “Wild Game: Open Season.” These books will be preserved at the Stonewall National Museum, Archives, & Library. According to a representative, the novellas are signed by authors Riley Parks and Ben Rush.

In addition to the novellas, the Ben Rush film collection has also been inducted. This collection includes a copy of the screenplay from Rush’s latest film, “Eat the Rich,” which is autographed by the writer/director and his cast. This screenplay will join the institution's DVD collection of Rush’s films, which features “Overdrive,” “Heart On,” “Spain in the Ass,” and “Wild Game.” The induction also celebrates the forthcoming fall tentpole release of “Eat the Rich,” which was written and directed by Rush.

Robert Kesten, president of the Stonewall National Museum, Archives & Library, stated that their library is fully representative of their extended community. He noted that Falcon|NakedSword has historically addressed a segment of the overall community and continues to reach a wider audience. FalconINK was launched by Falcon|NakedSword as a publishing house focusing on erotic fiction. The San Francisco-based company’s new venture consists of three imprints: Falcon Books, NakedSword Books, and Raging Stallion Books. The debut novellas, “Hard Ball” and “Wild Game: Open Season,” represent this expansion. “Hard Ball” is described as an original sports romance from Falcon Books, while “Wild Game: Open Season” is a prequel to the gay adult film “Wild Game” from NakedSword Books, with a release date of September 10.

Tim Valenti, Falcon/NakedSword CEO, stated that FalconINK was launched to expand how their stories are told and preserved, bringing M/M romance and sexuality into new formats while honoring the legacy that made them possible. He added that having these debut books recognized alongside Ben Rush's body of work affirms that LGBTQIA+ storytelling deserves a permanent place in shared history. Valenti also commented on the venture, stating that it reflects their commitment to expanding beyond their traditional audience while remaining true to the storytelling and sexuality that have defined Falcon for over five decades. He noted that for the first time, the company is creating content for women, one of the largest audiences in the M/M romance space. Valenti believes that no company is better positioned to tell accessible romantic and erotic stories than Falcon, given its history since 1971.
