GREENVILLE, Mich. — Michigan’s Danish Festival queen has turned in her crown after the festival board learned she had appeared in allegedly questionable online videos.

The videos showed her wearing lingerie while wrestling with men and other women, the Grand Rapids Press reported.

The newspaper said 19-year-old Carissa Akkerhuis resigned just two weeks after being named queen of the popular Greenville, Mich., festival. The festival president said pageant contestants sign a contract agreeing to represent the festival and community as a role model.

Lucas Rowten, co-owner of Lusa Entertainment, the company that produced the videos, said his sites feature no nudity or extreme violence. “We feel it’s the same thing you can see on regular cable television. You can open any lingerie catalogue and see this,” he told the newspaper.
