WWW- Princess Diana fantasized about becoming the new Jackie Kennedy and even shopped for a husband who could make her America’s First Lady, according to her former butler.

Britain’s “People’s Princess” was wooed by an American billionaire with political aspirations and she dreamed he could take her from Kensington Palace to the White House, Paul Burrell revealed in a controversial new book out yesterday.

“When the princess traveled to New York … she usually visited … a special someone who led her to fantasize about the idea that it might be possible for Diana, Princess of Wales, to become the First Lady,” he wrote in “The Way We Were,” published by William Morrow.
