New Port Richey, Florida – www.wtsp.com – A New Port Richey couple had to do some detective work after noticing something didn’t seem quite right inside their home. It turns out Chopper and Lori Davis live were victims of a home invasion.

“I got home and I noticed a couple of pillows were out of place. They were on the floor in front of the TV set. The remote control was next to the pillows,” Lori Davis said.

Not only that but a pool skimmer was found on the couch and the patio door was left open.

Davis explained, “We started piecing together first of all it was neither of us… that had been in the house watching TV… or moving any of those things, and that’s when we discussed calling the police.”

But the Davis’ couldn’t find a single thing stolen from their home…

That is until they contacted their cable provider Verizon, and discovered over $100 in pay per view porn charges.

Someone apparently ordered between up to 22 different adult movies over two days between the hours of noon and 2pm.

Lori Davis can only imagine what went on in her living room. “I cleaned everything and just that sense of violation, that someone had come into our home not only once but two times,” Davis said.

Because the Davis’ had a police report, Verizon reversed the charges. Chopper Davis said, “They were actually shocked… they had never heard anything like this before… and very very receptive.”

The Davis’ are taking precautions to increase security around their home. They believe the intruder used the pool skimmer to keep the couple’s dogs away. Anyone with information on the case can call New Port Richey Police.
