Porn Valley- This afternoon I talked to Mr. Metrosexual, someone on the inside at Metro. We had a conversation about the numerous things going on. I asked him to clear up matters regarding Tony Santoro. He tells me Santoro was still there, that Santoro’s father and Kenny Guarino are “goombahs” from the old days. But among other recent firings, Metro had gotten rid of their foreign sales person.

I’m also told there’s been some inside carping about the hiring of someone named Cara. “She’s doing foreign sales and some publicity work,” Mr. Metro explains to me.

Mr. Metro: Over the months there had been a tremendous credibility problem with the distributors. Tony really, really wanted to fix that and get the confidence back. His motive is to get a good relationship with the distributor and buyers. He really believes in what he’s doing. And so did Joey. He was a man on the mission.

Gene: How was Gauge regarded over there.

Mr. Metro: She was treated very well. Metro bent over backwards for her. Gauge was intent on directing her own line. She wanted to pick the artwork on all her own boxes. There would always be this cowtowing to her. They were stringing her along with a lot of different things but the truth is they didn’t want to turn her loose with a budget and a camera. Gauge’s comments were always this is what my fans expect of me, this and that.

It was always yes Gauge, no Gauge, that kind of thing. She wanted to direct her stuff and they had this six scene-thing thrown together called Gauge Gone Wild. I think her comment was I won’t allow this to be released because it’s such a stupid name. This project has been sitting there for the past six months. But as far as I can tell they never used Gauge in a movie. But every time her name would be mentioned over here peoples eyes would roll. They would treat her like royalty.

There was this thing about her not being paid enough money. The stipulation was that she got paid x-amount of money per sex scene. She was in a couple of scenes where sex was going on but she wasn’t participating, but she wanted to get paid for those because she was, technically, in a sex scene. Something like that. She wound up getting paid for those, however. But there isn’t much material on her over there.
