DENVER -www.examiner.com- The case of a gay escort accused of killing one of his clients goes to a jury Monday in Denver.

Timothy “John” Boham is accused of killing a wealthy businessman who hired him for sexual services. But Boham says the victim, J.P. Kelso, shot himself because he was depressed over failed relationships.

Boham is a 28-year-old former porn actor who was working as a gay escort. He also once worked for Kelso, who owned a debt-collection agency before his death in November of 2006.

Prosecutors say Boham tried to rob Kelso and shot Kelso when he refused to open his safe. If convicted of first-degree murder, Boham faces life in prison.
