Porn Valley- [posted on itaffectsyou.com]: Alberto Gonzales has a problem and the Christian Right can’t be pleased. His stepson worked for that purveyor of pornography, Larry Flynt. Until recently, Jared Freeze was a web designer in Flynt’s empire, no doubt designing all kinds of horrible pages, including some with boobies. The Radical Right hates Victoria’s Secret catalogs, so you can imagine how they feel about the hardcore action Freeze no doubt was involved with.

Did he work on the “barely Legal” product line? Or maybe the Hustler Live Video Chat (where if you can dream it, she’ll do it.) Or maybe some bondage action from Taboo. Perhaps Club Climax, Petite Babes or Amber’s Box. This is the kind of information the Radical Right needs to know, and they ought to be asking at Gonzales’ nomination hearings.

Now, as you might guess, I really don’t give a damn where his stepson worked. Personally, and you can call me crazy, items like Gonzales’ torture memo are just a bit more relevant to the AG position. Yet for the Christian Right (already not comfortable with his “wishy washy” record on abortion), this has got to hurt. With their new mandate and all, how could Bush nominate someone who would allow his stepson to be involved with this kind of smut?

First out of the block on the attack is old reliable Jan LaRue:

“The Justice Department is responsible for enforcing the obscenity and child pornography laws,” LaRue said, “and Larry Flynt’s publications include hard-core prosecutable material, in my opinion.”

She added that she wants to know if Gonzales had urged his stepson to quit before he knew he was going to be nominated.

“If he didn’t, that wouldn’t be very helpful,” she said.
