Las Vegas-
> What promises to be a vastly entertaining and controversial blog for a long time to come, Christian lends his thoughts and opinions of the recent AEE show. www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=26014
About Jenna Jameson’s shenanigans at the AVN Awards show, Christian writes: “She decided it was her talk therapy time and we the audinece were all her shrinks.” In his observations, Christian goes on to talk about Eva Angelina’s abusive ex-boyfriend and Brazzers’ director Vic Lagina who he describes as “a piece of shit in my opinion”.
There’s got to be a great book coming with www.christiansingstheblues.com providing the source material.
> There were press releases all over the place so you couldn’t miss the announcement. Trina Michaels chose the AEE venue to renew marriage vows to husband Jesse Wallace. While similar decisions have been a kiss of death for others in the industry who have chosen to do so, perhaps Michaels-Wallace will be luckier. They’ve been together 11 years. The Vegas ceremony was officiated by SexZ Pictures director Eli Cross.
> AVN reports that Eva Angelina won The Hottest Girl in Porn online contest in an announcement made at Planet Hollywood’s Prive club. According to AVN, Angelina won the 2008 title by a landslide after breaking the record for weekly fan votes. In newly added categories, Rachel Starr was named Hottest Newcomer, and Lisa Sparxxx took the Best MILF title.
More than 50 top XXX stars competed this year.
> AVN also reports that Otto Bauer and Audrey Hollander have signed an exclusive deal to shoot for European studio Daring Media Group.
Bauer be the U.S. director and producer and the company will be putting out two features per month. Hollander will be a contract superstar for Daring Media and perform in the features which is a departure from their gonzo ways. The company’s first feature will be a western. Even so, Bauer said the sex will be very hardcore and way over the top.”
The article also quotes the company’s new production manager and art director, Ian Graves as saying, “We want to start getting more American involvement. That includes having productions shot over here with American directors using American talent, but also American directors coming to Europe, shooting with European talent [and] European directors coming here and shooting with American talent. We’ve dragged [Bauer] in because he’s got quite a good record. He’s very professional, he knows what he’s doing.”
Bauer feels the partnership is a good fit because of the fact he’s stronger in the European market and shoots with a European sensibility.”
> XFANZ reports that Digital Playground contract star Katsuni will soon be launching her personal website, www.KatsuniHardcore.com at the end of the month. The site will feature Katsuni performing in “a load of hot scenes with able male performers and the most beautiful women she can find.”
“Unlike many female performers who go on to launch personal sites built around the BDSM scene, Katsuni said that the content on her site will be simple, sexy and softer than a lot of the content out there today.”
> In a chat with Kylie Ireland, XFANZ reports that Ireland once walked out of her apartment-dungeon in Los Angeles to encounter an elephant. Ireland, who had told the story before when she had a show in KSEX, said, A crew was shooting an album cover down the street, and I guess he needed to get out for a walk.”
The site reports that Ireland has also taken charge of a new production studio called SlutWerkz, which employs only female directors who intense hardcore action. The company’s official website will launch next month. Tiffany Mynx and Kimberly Kane are set to come on board as directors.
> XFanz also reports that Carmella Bing recently got a great new site dedicated to her, www.FantasyGirlCarmella.com , although it’s not an official site.
During AEE Bing was signing for a couple companies including the Brazzers network of adult sites.
> In a conversation with Jewel, the president of a new video company called
Rhymes and Dimes, Jewel tells XFANZ that her company tries to fuse everything that’s fun about hip-hop music and porn.
“Think of our movies as extended, uncut music videos,” she said.
> LIB.com posted the following: Playboy, the biggest company in the adult sector, has a non-existent presence at the show. Club Jenna and Spice Studios, their hardcore properties, are totally missing. The only bunny is at the tiny Playboy Radio booth, which looks like they spent about $500 on. I hear Jenna Jameson isn’t even in town.
Teagan Presley was on the show floor this week handing out promo cards for her website. She looked “scary skinny” according to one account.
To clarify an earlier post from the week, it was only the AVN Awards show that was sold by AVN. The AEE shows is already owned by Home Entertainment Events. Paul Fishbein gets a percentage of gross revenues off the top.
I hear Vivid tried to pull out of having a booth, but the Expo people cajoled them into not bailing. It would have looked very bad to the public and the press if the biggest star (Jenna Jameson) and the biggest company (Vivid) were both no-shows.
Since it hit it’s peak in 2004-05, the Expo has gotten smaller every year. Some aisles between booths are 20 feet wide. Besides Club Jenna, several prominent companies, including Zero Tolerance and New Sensations, have no booth. Sin City, always one of the biggest booths at the show, has a tiny 10×20 spot way back.
If Mark Spiegler bans his girls from dating within the industry, why was Rebeca Linares all over director Chris Streams throughout the entire week? I hear they have been dating for close to 6 months.”
