NJ- www.lehighvalleylive.com- Authorities learned a 23-year-old student teacher with ties to Warren County was having sex with one of her students after the boy’s father went to police, according to court records released today.

Lindsay Massaro, a senior at Centenary College, admitted to investigators she had intercourse and other sexual contact numerous times with the boy, identified as between 13 and 16 years old, the records say.

The two met while she student-taught at Frankford Township School in Sussex County, the affidavit of probable cause says.

Massaro, who is listed as living in Frankford, was arrested March 30, the day the student’s father contacted state police, records state.

She is charged with second-degree sexual assault, third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

Massaro had her first appearance today in Newton, N.J., before Superior Court Judge N. Peter Conforti, who increased her bail from $75,000 to $100,000. Conditions of her bail bar her from contact with the boy and his family as well as any unsupervised contact with minors. She is also ordered to undergo a “psycho-sexual” evaluation, court records say.

Massaro, who also student-taught sixth grade at Great Meadows Middle School in Independence Township during spring 2008, told investigators the sexual relationship began about three weeks before her arrest.

Contact occurred in her vehicle and in her bedroom.

Massaro is scheduled to appear for a pre-indictment conference May 4 before Conforti in Newton.
