Florida- A former Florida schoolteacher who caused controversy by posing in a bikini is causing a stir again by posing in much less.

Erica Chevillar used to teach history at West Boca Raton High School. She gave up the job after parents complained that her side job of modeling on the USA National Bikini Team was distracting to students.

Now Chevillar is posing in Playboy. Chevillar has been at the center of a media frenzy. She has generated thousands of web hits for the bikini site. The 10th grade teacher posed for the site in January to earn some extra cash.

A parent complained. The school district investigated and within days the case was dropped. Despite all the talk and just plain oogling, Chevillar stands by her photos.

“I’m not ashamed of anything I have done. I think all the pictures are appropriate, they’re covered they’re classy,” she said.

For Chevillar the opportunity to pose for Playboy was too much to pass up. She modeled before in college and says the $31,000 she makes as a teacher just doesn’t cut the bills in Boca.

“Like I keep my personal and professional life totally separate. I’m suppose to be held at this high level but I get paid less you know then someone working at Bloomingdales.”

Chevillar’s nude photos appear in the March issue of Playboy.
