Cincinnati – from www.bizjournals.com – The new Hustler Hollywood store in downtown Cincinnati is scheduled to open by the end of March.
Victoria Hurley, director of public relations for Flynt Management Group, said no exact date has been set for the store’s opening, but it’s tentatively set to open before the end of the month. The 4,000-square-foot store, located at 16/18 E. Seventh St., will employ about 15 people. The store is advertising for employees now.
“We want to help with the development that is going on and bring more money and more people to the city,” Hurley said.
Hustler Hollywood will sell women’s and men’s apparel, jewelry, lingerie, candle and home products in the two-story shop. The chain, which has 10 stores nationwide, was started by adult entertainment legend Larry Flynt. His daughter, Theresa Flynt, serves as executive vice president and is responsible for overseeing the design, building and day-to-day operations of the retail stores.
Jimmy Flynt, Larry’s brother, has operated the Hustler store on downtown’s Elm Street for the past decade. The Flynts were in a legal battle starting in December 2009 when Jimmy Flynt filed suit against Larry in Hamilton County Common Pleas court. Jimmy Flynt voluntarily dismissed all claims against all parties in that suit last October.
According to the 2009 court filing, the Monroe Hustler location has been the most profitable of all its stores.
