Porn Valley- A couple of years ago Metro suffered the indignity of getting kicked off Nasdaq. What happened at the company this week may offer some indications why. Metro, appearing to be a company spiraling totally out of control, fired its top guy Joey Wilson this week along with art director Charlie Lynch.
But to add good measure, Metro allegedly fired sales manager Tony Santoro Friday. [There’s been conflicting reports on this. We talked to someone on the inside today and they said it didn’t happen.]
Santoro, according to some sources, was AVN’s point of reference for their story this week about the Wilson/Lynch firings. Commenting on the firings, Santoro had told AVN: “The company has never been doing so well or done such numbers,” the source at Metro said. “We’ve been selling more product than ever. Then all of a sudden this came right out of the blue. There were creative differences with Joey. With Charlie, I don’t know. I guess they wanted to move in a different art direction.”
But the direction Metro’s evidently moving in includes barbed wire and gun turrets. Because no sooner did Santoro get shit canned Friday [allegedly, but, probably, not], Metro had drama with one of its contract girls, Gauge. Announcing that she had quit Metro, Gauge gave the rundown on her KSEX show Friday by stating that Metro can go kiss her fuckin’ ass.
Quasarman, another Metro ex-employee, interviewed her and more or less served as a means to keep Gauge’s emotions in check, Gauge being madder than a cow udder in a 32 A cup [and old Arkansas saying].
Quasarman set the table by hyping the story in a TV anchor voice, announcing a bloodbath at Metro. Some of it was Gauge’s judging by her comments stating that Metro had basically breached her contract and she, too, was finished with the company.
Urging her to “conjure the rage,” Quasarman asked for Gauge’s side of the story. Gauge gave some back story noting that Metro had stopped paying her back in December. “Just out of the blue I quit getting paid because my ass got stuck on the back burner while the motherfuckers were promoting the other girls.” Gauge said you walk into Metro and ask who does what, “they all don’t know anything, so fuck ’em all.”
Gauge said she had just got back into town on Thursday. She had been dancing in South Carolina. She talked about an incident on Monday, the 15th, the day when her Metro check gets sent out to her. “Red Ezra calls me up.” In an aside, Quasarman said people with all that red hair gives him the creeps. “I don’t trust people with red hair.” As far as she was concerned, Gauge said the only thing on her mind right now was “setting shit on fire.”
Gauge said she had a nice relationship with Red Ezra. Gauge then said she had a phone chat with Metro’s Neil Persky Thursday in which she said she was on her way to the Valley, could she stop by and pick up her check which hadn’t arrived in the mail. “I thought everything was fine.” According to Gauge, she was told by Persky that she wouldn’t be shooting on Saturday because Red Ezra said she never confirmed with him. Gauge begged to differ claiming that she had confirmed the date in her call with Ezra on the 15th when he asked her if she’d work with Alex Sanders. Gauge said she also had e-mails to confirm everything.
Gauge first claimed that Persky told her she wasn’t getting “a goddamned thing,” meaning her check. “Basically the old website check, or anything.” Gauge said she then went to Metro on Friday. “Basically what they’re doing they have me under contract- or they did. What happens when you have a contract girl? You pay her. Either you sign a girl under contract per scene or pay her per month.”
Then, Persky, according to Gauge then told her to come to the set, Saturday, to get her check. Gauge noted that she had been replaced on Saturday’s shoot with Leslie Zen. “So how am I going to show up on a fucking set when I’ve already been replaced? Why do I have a feeling that I wouldn’t be having a check?”
Quasarman was curious why Gauge would be replaced with Leslie Zen. Asked if there might have been some miscommunication about the shoot, Gauge claimed not. “So they fired Joey, they do away with Tony; everybody up there.” Gauge said Santoro had been in the meeting [and later was fired]. Gauge said she was sitting at Metro with her head spinning because she was pissed. “I’m sitting there- I’m not this little fucking jackass that you put a carrot in front of and make me go chasing after it.” Gauge said she was told by Metro they were going to quit paying her because Red Ezra told them she wasn’t going to show to the shoot.
Gauge said there was something wrong with the timeline because Ezra presumably had told this to Persky on Thursday when her check was supposed to have been sent Monday. But Gauge said regardless of timeline deficiencies, Metro was sticking to its story. “Even though they don’t make sense, they’re sticking to it.”
Gauge said after she had been fucked once in December, Metro expected her to get fucked again. “Basically they screwed me again- they refused to give me paperwork or anything to see any activity of xxxgauge. They are autographing my shit and it’s not me. I already sent a press release out to my fans saying I Love Gauge is going to be up.”
Gauge said she’s having that site being rebuilt. Gauge said she was very pissed off that a company like Metro was treating the fans and the girls like idiots. “I refuse my fans to be mislead on thinking they’re joining my fan club and it’s not even my fan club, my signature or anything that’s going into my pocket.”
Quasarman then urged Gauge to talk about the fisticuffs at Metro. Gauge said she ended ripping up the 10% of the website earnings that they wanted to give her from May to December. “It wasn’t a lot at all- with no paper work.” Gauge said she ripped it up. While walking out of the building Gauge said she kicked the front door with her foot and her boyfriend Jason said fuck everybody. “I dropped my phone in the process.”
Jason asked her if she had her phone. “I’m already half way out of Metro.” Jason said he saw her drop it. “He goes to go back in there. Some little short guy is standing there, no, you can’t come back in here.” Jason told him to move out of the way. “The dude had a big thing of balloons,” Gauge said. Quasarman wanted to know if he was a clown and why was he carrying them.
“Is that how they celebrate a bloodbath at Metro? They hire a clown and bring in balloons?” Gauge said the guy proceeds to wrap the balloon strings around Jason’s neck. Quasarman wanted to be sure what he was hearing. “Jason got attacked by a man with balloons today?”
Gauge suspected it was one of the pendejos from the warehouse with him being joined by a bunch of others who started calling her a bitch and a ho. “They weren’t even in the fucking meeting and shit,” Gauge said. “They don’t know what the fuck is going on. They can barely even understand English. Fuck them.” Jason told them to move the fuck out of the way that he wanted to get the phone. Gauge said Jason was then surrounded by six guys with one of them telling him in a Chicano accent, “I from Arizona, man, I keel you!”
Quasarman was curious if murder was legal in Arizona. “What does his hometown have to do whether a life will be taken?” Gauge suspected it meant you jumped the border over there and not over here. “They’re there threatening Jason and verbally attacking me telling me to get off their fucking property.”
Gauge confirmed that she turned in her “verbal resignition” to Metro. Gauge said twice Metro has breached her contract. Gauge said as far as she was concerned she was through with Metro in December. “But they schmoozed their way through.” She thought maybe they’d make things right that she was supposed to have her own series. “The contract’s up in June.We had a six month plan. Where’s my series? Where is the meeting to discuss what the series is going to be?” Gauge said she asked Metro about it at her meeting Friday and they told her to go ask Joey [Wilson].When Gauge told Metro they had breached her contract she claims Persky told her what are you still doing here.
Gauge said she had been asking herself the same question for the last year. besides not getting the series, Gauge claims the company hadn’t done one photo shoot with her since she had been under contract.
As far as she was concerned, Gauge said she lived up to all her commitment but admits she cancelled once with James Avalon because she didn’t know the guy they wanted her to work with. “In my contract I have a right to refuse work with anybody. I didn’t even know his name.” Quasarman pointed out that Gauge was willing to work with Alex Sanders. “Perhaps your standards aren’t way up there.”
Gauge said her philosophy is to do a nice, rockin’ healthy scene. “Is that much to ask for? But the way metro has treated me, is, no, you shoot then we’ll pay you. I’m under contract. That’s what I used to do when I wasn’t under contract.” Gauge said James Avalon understood when she cancelled. “One, I didn’t know the guy. Two, because they still owed me website money.” Gauge claims she had been fulfilling all her promises. “And they have fulfilled none- none at all.”
Quasarman merely saw it as another example of “the little person being trod upon by the cloven hooves of pig porn.”Noting that she had been in the business since 1999, Gauge wanted to know why she hasn’t been directing. “Why isn’t Gauge having her own series?” Gauge also pointed out that Ann Marie was getting a chance to direct. “I’ve never had a problem with Ann Marie. What I do have a problem with is that I’m not treated fairly as with the rest of the girls.”
Quasarman then urged Gauge to show her breasts, commenting on their contours and how Metro was missing out. “I could just be pregnant like the rest of the contract girls,” Gauge chirped. Asked to elaborate, Gauge said she was sure the story would be out. “You’ll here?” Quasarman asked if she was talking about Stormy. “I don’t know if it’s true or not.”
Gauge said there were a couple of girls. “But I won’t say who- or just Metro- or whatever. It’s a little bit of everything.”Gauge said now that she’s free she’s going to other companies who would appreciate her and give her her own series. “My shit sells. My fans love my shit.” Quasarman suggested Zero Tolerance Entertainment.
Gauge said she would. “But I’m sorry, that little cocksucker Michael Adams is there.” Quasarman said that wasn’t true. “No he isn’t; what are you talking about?”
Gauge claims she sees Adams’ name attached to Zero Tolerance. “His name’s on nothing!” said Quasarman. “What are you talking about?” Gauge said she saw something on a gossip column. Quasarman said she read something inaccurate because Adams doesn’t work for Zero Tolerance in any way, shape or form. “He’s still my friend.”
“Is he still a Metro kiss ass brownnoser?” Gauge wanted to know. Quasarman said Adams had his hands in a lot of pots. “He learned from the best, man,” said Gauge. “That’s why he’s still around. He’s one of them.”
