LOS ANGELES – Multi AVN Award-winning director JacktheZipper has joined Vivid Entertainment Group.

Known for his creative and uncompromising film work, which he conceives, shoots and edits himself, JTZ boasts a background that includes being kicked out of art school, a career as a musician touring around the world and working as a tattoo artist. About joining Vivid he says, “I like to make movies that are talked about and Vivid is attractive to directors with a distinct vision.”

“We admire Jack’s bold and artistic approach to filmmaking and look forward to working with him,” said Steven Hirsch, co-chairman of Vivid.

“I view filmmaking as an art and adult entertainment as the last cultural frontier. It is tied to the mainstream in invisible ways. I make my movies to be wild and guilty pleasures and to be timeless. I hope to touch as many people as possible with my work and outlive any trend,” noted JTZ.

“Stuntgirl,” JTZ’s first movie won Best All Sex Release, Best Scene at the 2005 AVN Awards and recognized him as Best Director of a Non-Feature. Earlier this year at the AVN Awards his movie “Squealer” won Best All Sex Release, Best Oral Sex Scene and Best Group Sex Scene in the video category.

He said one of his first movies for Vivid will be a highly ambitious space fantasy using top talent “including the Emmy Award-winning CGI wizards who worked on such films as “Return of the Jedi” and “Hellboy.”
