Veitch and a group of female believers go into strip clubs to witness to dancers. XXXchurch, another ministry dealing with pornography, has launched The Trinity Project, designed to raise money to help porn stars leave the industry. XXXchurch also buys booths at porn conventions to minister to those on the inside. With ministries like these and others, when does “in the world” become “of the world?”

Robert Perry posts: I like what xxxchurch is doing there; paying for people to “get out of Dodge” and start a new life.

And when does it start being “of the world”? A bit of Romans 14 there, but I would dare say that it becomes “of the world” when one starts meditating about what one saw at the other booths at the expo, as soon as one starts violating Jesus’ proscription in the Sermon on the Mount.

Chas writes: Only a person like Veitch can do this. You have to have been there because you have to know the way out. Many women are in the business because there is no way to eacape. Also, people who are not sware of their vulnerability can get caught up in it.

In Peretti’s book, “The Oath”, an old man, now a Christian, but former great sinner was giving advice about the dragon (sin) that was killing people of the town. “Be afraid of the dragon”.

Good advice. We need to fear sin. The Bible doesn’t say, “resist temptation” it says (though not in these words) flee temptation.

Brad writes: These are women ministering to women. That’s who it should be all about. I suspect the young women who get trapped in the “exotic dancer cabaret” lifestyle become very cynical and guarded. No gal in that industry would dare any sort of spiritual vulnerability to a man no matter his level of spiritual maturity.

And as a man– who very easily could have let porn enslave warp and control me (as Ted Bundy alleged it did him)—I wouldnt want to do anything other that financially underwrite these women’s ministry. A male in a prominent or visible spot in this ministry might be easily miscast by a skeptical world now accustomed to Jim Bakker/Jimmy Swaggart hypocrisy.

But I applaud the women who are going to where the sinners are. Pray for them to be uncompromising in their witness. “Gentlemen’s Clubs” are such a huge blight in many cities, most notably Atlanta Ga the one-time buckle on the Bible Belt.
