Tito Ortiz put on a hell of a show at UFC 121 against his protege Matt Hamill, but his loss via decision may have been the one blow Tito could not defend himself against after all.
The UFC Legend’s career hangs in the balance this week as Dana White absorbs World Extreme Cagefighting into the UFC brand, and starts making room on the roster (with today’s cut of Gabriel Gonzaga being the first of, if not many, at least a few).
Tito’s return to UFC has seen The Huntington Beach Bad Boy get back into phenomenal shape following surgery, but a full fledged comeback at 35 years old is defying the odds. While 4 straight losses is almost an automatic termination from Dana White for anyone else, Tito still has much to offer the brand he help put on the map, and therefore a release may not be so easy after all.

These fighters are enormous personalities in the history of the sport’s explosion. As UFC expands, there will be more of a need for digital programming, online blogs, differing opinions to Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan. While Dana White may not want Tito in the Octagon much longer if at all, Tito has a lot to offer … and not just to keep him away from Strikeforce, Showtime, and CBS. There is still significant value in Tito Ortiz!”
Tito’s significant other, JENNA JAMESON lashed out on Twitter at those who have been sending inflammatory messages her way regarding Tito.
Earlier today, Jenna tweeted, “I’m gonna say one last thing before I go for awhile. It hurts me to see my man train and get injured. He was away from me for 2 months. During those two months, I was a mother to our twins, a nurse to my dying father and witness to his untimely death.
“My world shattered when my dad died, and it was doubly hard to do it without my partner tito.Tito works so hard to be the legend he is, and I will FOREVER be by his side… Because he deserves that. He is much more than just a fighter, he is a good man, father, and friend.
“People that take jabs, hurt my feelings, because I wrap my arms around a wounded warrior right now, and I can feel his pain. It becomes mine. I just hoped I would read my Twitter, and see classy messages, referring to him a legend, and how classy he was to MATT post fight.
