from www.radaronline.com – Self-proclaimed bad boy Jesse James wasn’t a very careful cheater, as proved by the string of scandalous emails obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com between Jesse and mistress #5, Merilee Gerth.

Now,RadarOnline.com brings you the ‘smoking gun’ that prompted Jesse to settle out of court with Merilee when she threatened to sue him for sexual harassment.

“He was terrified of the emails and other evidence that she had against him,” a close friend of Merilee’s tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. “What he didn’t know was that she had saved a shirt that had his DNA on it from one of their sexual encounters and that was what sunk him.

“Jesse and Merilee dated for a little while years before he met Sandra, so Jess said that it was an old shirt from when they dated,” the source said.

“But Merilee was able to prove by the design and make of the shirt that it was something current and didn’t exist back when they dated.”

As previously reported by RadarOnline.com, Merilee is the latest mistress to be linked to Sandra Bullock’s husband. After allegedly being fired unfairly from West Coast Choppers, Merilee hired LA powerhouse attorney Gloria Allred and went after Jesse claiming sexual harassment at the workplace.

The case was settled out of court for approximately $700,000.

“I don’t know if I believed Merilee that it was really sexual harassment or not. She seemed to be setting Jesse up with the shirt and all,” the friend told RadarOnline.com.

“But there were definitely days when she would cry and say that she didn’t want to go to work because Jesse was going to harass her, so I don’t know what to think.”

Once Merilee threatened Jesse with the lawsuit her friend says, “Jesse would come by her house all the time looking for her, trying to convince her to drop the lawsuit idea. Merilee became really intimidated and afraid of him.”

In an email of Merilee’s obtained by RadarOnline.com she makes it a point to bring up the fact that Jesse was just using her for sexual satisfaction. “Jesse doesn’t know anything about me because he is so selfish that even if I wanted to talk to him about my personal life, he wouldn’t be interested,” she wrote.

Jesse has already been linked to four other women: Michelle “Bombshell” McGee and Melissa Smith, both tattooed strippers; Brigitte Daguerre, a fetish model and a mystery mistress repped by Gloria Allred who remains unnamed. Jesse is currently working on his sexual addiction at the Sierra Tucson rehab center in Arizona while Sandra remains hidden away from the public eye.
