MELBOURNE, AU / LOS ANGELES, CA – It’s already high summer in Melbourne, Australia during January and February.
Days are typically warm and sunny, although soothing coastal breezes can usually be counted on to calm the heat in the afternoon. But don’t be surprised if this all changes soon, as Canoga Park based adult entertainment powerhouse Wicked Pictures prepares to raise temperatures across the region as the primary sponsor of LIVE 08.
This exciting new adult expo will be taking place February 7th -10th at the Grand Pavilion of the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds, with 2008 AVN nominated Wicked Girls jessica drake and Carmen Hart appearing as featured guests throughout show.
In a prepared statement, organizers of the new show describe the event as being geared toward “putting the fun, love and romance back into relationships for the coming Valentine’s Day.
LIVE08 is a provocative, yet stylish expo, mixing live music, burlesque and Latin dance performers, along with circus performers and a food festival representing dishes from over a dozen countries.” Joining jessica and Carmen on their trip Down Under will be Wicked’s VP Of International Sales and Licensing, Steven Vlottes, and the company’s VP Of Special Projects, Joy King. Vlottes will be strengthening relationships with Wicked’s Australian distributor and visiting Sexyland, local retailers who carry the company’s product.
Musical artists confirmed for LIVE 08 include Melbourne rock sensations the Rogue Traders, along with CC Martini and the Kiss cover band Kisstroyer.
Also appearing are Melbourne based entertainers Iris and Dirty Laundry. In addition to introducing the bands on stage, the Wicked Girls will also participate in one performance with Cirque De Vie, a popular stage show featuring former Cirque du Soleil performers.
Presented by Circa NICA, Cirque de Vie has been called “a contemporary circus thrill ride of aerial acts, trapeze, dance, and acrobatics incorporated into stories of love, desire and relationships.” Add to this several provocative Burlesque-A-Rama shows featuring such well-known Australian dancers as Imogen Kelly, Vesper White and Lauren La Rouge, roving street performers, a formidable line-up of DJs and several intimate fashion shows, and it soon becomes obvious that LIVE 8 will provide a sexy, uniquely Australian cultural experience .

It’s all taking place at the newly developed Grand Pavilion at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds.
