I hear things. And today I heard rumblings that Jim Holliday was up to something that could perhaps revolutionize the adult business. Or, if nothing else at least take an active step towards solving one of the great industry maladies- performers’ flaking. Holliday’s intention is to require female talent to submit a deposit if they agree to appear in one of his shoots. A reimbursement is contingent upon completion of the project.

Back from the desert, clearer of mind, raspier of voice but sounder of purpose, Holliday said it was true when I called to verify.

“They want to be in my movies, they’re going to put down a deposit,” he said flatly, taking the hard line. “They’ll get it back. If they don’t want to appear in my movies, I could care less. I’ll be the first guy to ever do that.” Holliday made it clear he’s not holding anyone hostage. “But if I’m keeping someone out at the last minute because I cast someone three months ago, and that person doesn’t show, it causes me to lose two girls. And that will never happen again.” Holliday said he doesn’t like to scramble even in situations where tests turn out no good. “I still got to go hunt, and I decided this shoot I wouldn’t go hunting. I’d just stay from within.”

Holliday said the deposit isn’t going to be so large, that most girls would mind. “One thing I know. If you look at my cast list and look who I intended to hire, the top 50% has never shined me.” Holliday’s of the opinion that there are very few directors who will make that claim. “The point is 95% of them would be lying.” Holliday mentioned some very big name directors and says they lose girls all the time but never cop to it. “The standard shoot is three guys and seven girls but the production manager is often busy replacing four of the seven girls.”

Holliday said he came up with the idea during his desert sojourn.

“We started out with 32 girls. We had an original 60 and I pared down the final cast list to 32,” he explained. “We finally wound up with 23 or 24. Eight or nine fell buy the wayside due to disease, failed tests, last minute attitude and just general stupidity.” Holliday said logistics being what they were, those girls were never replaced. Holliday said another girl was lost due to probable drug usage but he wasn’t going to name names. “She started back up on the powder.”

While in the desert, Holliday shot what he’s calling his Hunter’s Moon Trilogy, three features back-to-back-to-back. Holliday started off with this basic premise: “Everyone’s going to capitalize and ripoff the Pirates of the Caribbean,” he predicts. “They’re going to make some more pirate movies that have to do with the ocean. What I did instead was go to the desert where I shot High Desert Pirates, about a gang of chicks with real tits who hijack 18 wheeler trucks.” Holliday said the movie stars former Vivid contract girl Sky Lopez. According to feedback Holliday got, Lopez had more fun on this shoot than any project she’s done in the business to date. The second feature’s titled Eye Candy 3; the third is She Devils in Pink. Holliday describes that one has having some resemblance to college field hockey. “However it takes on a whole new twist and the girls decided to call the name of the game, Holli-ball,” Holliday says. “It’s a cross between hockey, soccer, polo and beach volleyball.”

Holliday said his shoot also marks the return of Felicia. Also included in the cast is the woman Holliday refers to as his number one draft choice, Shayla LaVeaux. Also in the cast are Monica Mayhem, Tanya Danielle, Kylie Wilde, Sarena South [Holliday says she has a tremendous bubble butt]; Katie Morgan, Cassie Young, Crystal Ray, Jessica Darlin, Violet Blue, and Taylor Rain whom Holliday made special arrangements with Legend beforehand to have. “Plus there were a few others I was told I couldn’t get but did,” he added. “But there were two dozen, count ’em, two dozen girls.”
