Los Angeles, CA – Abbywinters producer and vice-president Joanne Mason – who played a key management role in much of the phenomenal growth abbywinters.com has seen in the last few years – has left abbywinters.com and returned to the US. Speaking in Melbourne, Australia, abbywinters.com CEO Garion Hall said, “Jo Mason had a huge impact on abbywinters.com and will be greatly missed.” Mason said, “I have really enjoyed being a part of the fantastic abbywinters.com team. I’ll miss working with them a lot.”
As executive producer for all of abbywinters’ DVD releases, Mason built the top-selling award-winning DVD line (Best Amateur Series AVN 2008). Hall said, “Joanne’s influence through her inspiration, drive and creativity on our two DVD lines was enormous, and is directly attributable to their huge success in the marketplace.”
In 2007, Mason opened abbywinters’ new production office in Sydney. She has been abbywinters.com creative director, marketing manager, general manager of the Sydney office, and senior vice president. Mason represented abbywinters.com throughout the adult industry, initiating and choreographing key alliances and partnerships, including most notably abbywinters’ exclusive worldwide distribution partnership with Wicked Pictures.
Mason has been on leave from the company since April when she returned to the US to care full-time for a sick family member. After being back, she decided to remain in the US. “I’ll miss Australia a lot. The last six months have been a time to focus on family. But now I’m ready to get back to work on new challenges. And it’s a good time to part ways with abbywinters as we both grow and move in new directions.”
