Los Angeles- WHEN a British blue-blood socialite meets an L.A. party guy, sparks fly, but not always in a positive direction.
According to a knowledgeable source, well-heeled Jimmy Choo president Tamara Mellon, who had been seeing “Girls Gone Wild” bad boy Joe Francis for a couple of months, was set to have dinner with him one recent Sunday night. He didn’t show up and later blamed it on oversleeping.
But the next day, she found out that he was actually at Comedy Central’s roast of Pamela Anderson, where he was caught kissing Kimberly Stewart, Rod Stewart’s actress daughter.
The following day, Mellon was due to fly to Francis’ compound in Mexico aboard his private jet. When he called her that afternoon, she confirmed their plans. But instead of heading to the airport, she sent a messenger with a manila envelope containing photos of Francis kissing Stewart.
“Apparently his jaw dropped, because she had acted on the phone as if nothing was wrong,” said a rep for Jimmy Choo. “I don’t know why he thought no one would notice him with Kimberly.”
Francis, who has had a bit of bad luck lately – his house was recently burglarized – admits to dating both women, and to kissing Kimberly at the roast, but denies that he was jilted at the airport.
“Tamara is just [bleeped] off because she was embarrassed that PAGE SIX reported she crashed Kim’s birthday party,” Francis said. “She came up and threatened us at a party. It’s constant bickering back and forth between those two girls, and it needs to stop. I tried to get them together to talk out their differences.”
When told about Francis’ denial, the Choo rep simply said, “I guess he’s as much of a liar as everyone says he is.”
Stewart hissed: “There are so many more interesting things in the world than [bleep]ing Jimmy Choo. Maybe [Mellon] is just upset that I pulled up in Francis’ Ferrari at Le Soleil.”
Mellon, who is no stranger to bad behavior from her men – she is currently going through a divorce from American banking heir Matthew Mellon, who would reportedly disappear for days on end – claims she’s anything but fired up over the situation. “I came to the realization that Joe and I are from different worlds, but Kimberly and Joe are a perfect match.”
