CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Late Monday afternoon, a federal judge ruled against five adult businesses in Charlotte.
Eyewitness News has been following this story for years.
Central Avenue Video and News, along with four other pornography stores, said the city violated their right to do business in certain parts of town. Certain zoning rules don’t allow adult stores within a certain distance of churches and schools.
However, the judge disagreed. Eyewitness News has been told that at least one of the stores plans to appeal.
