Porn Valley – Katrina Kraven was among the glittering array of stars that the Sports Swami interviewed during the recent AEE show in Las Vegas. Kraven was signing at the EvolutionErotica [www.EvolutionErotica.com] booth.
At the time of the interview Kraven was in the business about 8 months and described her work ethic as one of giving her all. Kraven’s repped by L.A. Models, her reasons being that the company really hustles at getting their girls jobs.
The tattoo issue was brought up by Swami. “A lot of people say if you have tattoos you can’t get hired; Belladonna’s proven that wrong,” Swami observed, taking an inventory of Kraven’s left arm in particular which includes birds and hearts. Kraven said she had an artist draw them up for her. “It’s a lot of elements that I love,” she said. “It’s really colorful. The colors are beautiful. I was always a fan of good artwork. If you come out with a strong performance you’re going to get hired whether you have tattoos or not. Maybe not for VCA and those companies but that’s not what I’m here for, anyway. I’m here to have really good sex. That’s all that matters, really.”
Asked how she got into the business, Kraven said she was a manager at the Hustler Store in San Diego. “Being a fan of porn myself I was, like, I can do it.” Kraven also credits Kylie Ireland who was very instrumental in getting her career started. “She introduced me to the right people and looked out for me in the beginning.” Kraven said even before she thought about getting into the business, she had talked to Belladonna on a few occasions and will be working with her very shortly.”We met and hit it off; I can’t wait. She’s my favorite.”
Off camera, Kraven didn’t think she was very different from the person you see on camera. For recreation, she likes to read. And Kraven said her husband, who’s not in the industry, is very cool with what she does. “We were swinging before I decided to do this. In some ways he’s a very interesting guy.”
Judging by the AEE show, Kraven said she was surprised to see how many fans she already had. People knew my name and that threw me completely off guard. I didn’t expect that.” Asked for her opinion on the Ashcroft movement to shut porn down, Kraven said she didn’t think that would happen. “He won’t do it; it’s just not going to happen. I really don’t worry about it. Look at how many are here [at the AEE show] supporting it. If people don’t like it, they should ignore it.”
Kraven also noted she was working on a very big project for EvolutionErotica. “Lezervoir Dogs is going to be fantastic,” she said. “I pretty much want to accomplish that. It’s going to be a pretty big project. I’m very excited about that.” Kraven said she just likes to work. “I don’t need to win any awards- I’m accomplishing what I want to, already.”
