TARZANA, Calif. – Remastered and featuring extras never seen since its release over 20 years ago, the Kirdy Stevens Signature Series edition of Standard Digital’s all-time adult classic Taboo 2 hits store shelves this week.
Like the original Kirdy Stevens Signature Series edition of Taboo released earlier this month, Taboo 2 — starring Dorothy LeMay, Honey Wilder, Kay Parker, Juliet “Aunt Peg” Anderson, Kevin James and Eric Edwards, and shotby AVN and X-Rated Critics Organization Hall of Famer Kirdy Stevens — received a similar audio and visual remastering treatment.
The Kirdy Stevens Signature Series edition of Taboo 2, exclusively distributed by Addictive Entertainment, features a brushed metallic-colored slipcover with softcore stills not seen since the title’s release in XXX theaters in 1982 and a snapper case, also with hardcore stills not seen since its premiere.
The film’s visual and audio quality surpasses all previous versions of Taboo 2, Standard Digital President and son of Kirdy Stevens Steve Stevens said. Kirdy and Steve Stevens also dug deep into the Standard Digital archives tospice up the gallery on the DVD with production photos that have never been seen outside the company.
“Taboo 2 is a special title that’s won the same critical acclaim and praise as the original Taboo,” Steve Stevens said. “It’s one of those few adult movies that everyone who’s a fan knows and loves. Standard Digital is proud to give this classic the treatment it deserves.”
Jon Islas, general manager of Addicted Entertainment said demand for the 23-year-old title is still nothing less than amazing, not unlike the Kirdy Stevens Signature Series edition of Taboo’s first volume, released earlier this month.
