LA Vice: The Toast of France

> Kurt Lockwood wrires on MySpace: Be happy for me. I just shot a new photosession with HOT VIDEO MAGAZINE in Las Vegas for a very SPECIAL honor! For those of you who don’t know, HOT VIDEO MAGAZINE is like the AVN magazine of Europe. It’s circulation is over 100,000 copies mainly across France but it gets out to most of Europe as well.

Anyway, the editorial staff over at HOT VIDEO chose my movie, “L.A. VICE” (out on SEX Z PICTURES!) over ClubJenna’s The Provacateur to be given away as a free gift DVD with every single one of their 100,000 copies of their magazine! The editors of “HOT VIDEO” told me “L.A. VICE” was “THE BEST adult feature they’d seen in years” and called me the “Quentin Tarantino of porn,” haha.

As for me? I’m just super-stoked that 100,000 copies of a movie I made from scratch will now be sent out in that kind of numbers! Wow! Now, again for those of you who don’t know, the average adult film feature distributes probably between five and fifteen thousand copies, if it is a success. This is 100,000 copies! I’m so happy that a movie I directed, including writing the screenplay, writing the entire music soundtrack, etc. could be so honored like that!

Plus, I’m being told I should be packing my bags to go to Cannes this year and walk the famous Cannes red carpet for the film festival this year in honor of “L.A. VICE.” (Yikes! I need a date! Anybody wanna go to Cannes, France with me? haha) The editors told me that more people read their HOT VIDEO magazine than read the daily paper over there. Haha, I’m HUGE in France! Thanks to BO KENNEY, the awesome maverick owner of SEX Z PICTURES who let me make “L.A. VICE”-a movie about crooked L.A. cops who do blow, fuck the hottest ho’s and take out L.A. cocaine kingpin, Ron Jeremy (!) in a killer, action-filled dramatic climax! It was a risky movie to make and I’m glad it’s paying off! I can’t wait for Cannes this year! Viva la “L.A. VICE”!
