Hollywood- HOLLYWOOD Boulevard’s revamped Roosevelt Hotel and its maximum-capacity pool scene is becoming cheeseball central – and drying up the rest of the Sunset Strip. During the July 4th weekend, the Roosevelt’s Tropicana bar “was like ‘Entourage’ meets EconoLodge,” quipped one jaded wag, referring to the “couch-surfing screenwriters and hooker-attired tan fanatics” filling the deck of the Olympic-sized pool.

“It’s Fellini-esque, a freak show,” says our source, adding “I’ll be back next weekend.” Success, however, comes with a price. Last week, Tropicana party poobah Amanda Scheer-Demme was hauled off to jail in handcuffs and charged with noise violations. A male guest of Lindsay Lohan allegedly leapt into the pool from her second-floor balcony suite (although the incredibly shrinking actress claims she was not aware of the stunt). Roosevelt supporters who only months ago wouldn’t be caught dead at the once-shabby former home to the Oscars now include bikini babes Kirsten Dunst, Chloe Sevigny and Gina Gershon as well as ogling regulars Bret Rattner, Scott Caan and Tobey Maguire.
