From www.theimproper.com- Lindsay Lohan’s white 2007 Maserati Quattroporte GT sports sedan, you know, the one her assistant wrecked and has been photographed countless times by paparazzi, is up for auction on Ebay.
Lindsay actually never owned the car, which sells new for around $115,000; she had just “borrowed” it from West Hollywood porn king Dennis DeSantis, who is now selling it through a West Hollywood dealer. The car was involved in more than a few LiLo moments and the bidding is spirited.
Although DeSantis put an opening price of $25,000 on the car, which would be an absolute steal, there’s also a hidden reserve, and at last check, 21 bidders had pushed the price to more than $60,000.
Only days after he lent Lindsay the car in March, the “Mean Girls” actress let her assistant drive it and she clipped a pole causing around $10,000 in damage to the front end.
You would think that spelled an end to DeSantis’ generosity, but he had the car repaired and sent it back to Lohan for more apparent abuse. Big mistake.
The porn producer apparent had a change of heart after the car was towed on May 27 while illegally parked near ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson’s home in Los Angeles. That’s something you just don’t want to happen to a $100,000-plus car.
Lohan is now driving a rented black Rolls Royce Silver Phantom. God knows where she got it. The almost broke actress certainly didn’t buy it.
The auction listing for the Maserati says it has been driven by Lindsay, but doesn’t mention any accidents, or any of its other storied history. But there is no question Lindsay drove it. The auction page includes photos of Lilo and Ronson in the car. Sam is driving, of course.
The auction is being held by Classics on Sunset, a West Hollywood exotic car dealer, and runs until June 11. Here’s how they describe the car:
