NY- A woman who let her daughters have sex with a wealthy Manhattan lawyer in exchange for cash and gifts copped a plea yesterday that could soon have her out of jail.

The 38-year-old woman, whose name is being withheld by the Daily News to protect her children, said she personally hit up the lawyer, James Colliton, for cash, as well as taking a cut of what he paid her daughters for overnight sex romps at his East Side love nest.

The woman admitted Colliton, 42, a former lawyer at the firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, bought cell phones for her family and clothes for her daughters, and gave them large amounts of cash.

Colliton, who once earned $500,000 a year, fled to Canada after the alleged relationships were reported to the Administration for Children’s Services. He was arrested and has pleaded not guilty.

Defense lawyer, Javier Damien, said the plea deal does not require the woman to testify against Colliton. He also said the girls were reluctant to testify against their mother.

One daughter told the Daily News last night she was relieved by her mom’s plea. “She pleaded guilty because she is guilty of what she did,” said the daughter, now 21. “It proves we were telling the truth.”

She said she and her sister will testify against Colliton.

The mother admitted her daughters were underage when they started having sex with Colliton – the other girl, now 15, was just 13 at the time.

The mother was sentenced to just 90 days by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Daniel FitzGerald after pleading guilty to endangering the welfare of a child.

She could have faced up to 15 years in prison if convicted of the initial charge of promoting prostitution.

“She’s desperate to get out of jail,” Damien said.
