RIVIERA BEACH- — from www.palmbeachpost.com – An alleged Riviera Beach sex offender accused of forcing young girls to watch pornographic movies and act out what they saw was caught in Kentucky Saturday after fleeing the state, authorities announced this morning.
Roshard Whitehead, 27, was arrested in Lexington, Ky., hours after being featured on America’s Most Wanted Saturday. A viewer who knew he was living in a house with a 16-year-old girlfriend and young children called the show, which in turn alerted authorities.
Deputy U.S. Marshals and area police surrounded the house and arrested Whitehead, who is wanted in Riviera Beach on charges of sexual battery and lewd and lascivious molestation against the two girls.
Investigators say Whitehead’s crimes against the two girls began in 2004 and lasted four years before he was exposed. He allegedly threatened them with starvation and violence if they ever told.
“He held them down and did some terrible things to them,” Marshals spokeswoman Lynn Navitsky said.
Whitehead will be extradited to Palm Beach County to face the charges.
