Buffalo- from www.wkbw.com – The case of a Buffalo man accused of trolling the Internet in search of a 4-year-old girl, so he could allegedly film the child pornographically, is in the hands of the FBI.

Joseph Koehn, 26, was turned over to agents Tuesday afternoon after he appeared in Buffalo City Court for a felony hearing.

Koehn is charged with Attempted Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, Attempted Rape in the 1st Degree and Attempted Criminal Sexual Act in the 1st Degree.

The felony hearing was adjourned. Koehn is scheduled to be back in court to answer state charges on September 1.

A Source said the FBI executed a search warrant at the man’s house and confiscated a computer, but it is not known if anything was found on the device.

Koehn was arrested last Thursday in a sting operation orchestrated by Buffalo police after a woman, who does not want to be identified, said she was contacted by Koehn on the social networking Web site MySpace.Com.

The woman said Koehn offered her thousands of dollars if she would supply a 4-year-old girl to be used in a porn movie.

The woman called police, who recruited her roommate as an informant.

Sebastian Spurio said he agreed to help police by sending text messages to Koehn, offering a young girl for the purpose of sex.

“I told him I was a babysitter and it just kind of went on like that,” Spurio told Eyewitness News.

“He would ask questions everyday and I would answer as quickly as possible,” Spurio added. “He would kind of threaten, saying it’s not going to happen.”

But last week, Spurio — at the direction of Buffalo police — scheduled a meeting with Koehn at an undisclosed location on the city’s West Side.

Koehn’s girlfriend, with whom he shares two young children, 4-year-old and 6-month-old boys, doesn’t believe he would do such a thing.

“He has kids of his own,” Jessica Paulini said. “He’s been around kids his whole life and he’s never done anything to hurt them.”
