From www.ynot.com – MONTREAL – Award-winning adult filmmaker Mason has signed an exclusive directorial contract with upstart multiplatform producer OpenLife Entertainment. The deal calls for Mason to serve as the foundational talent for two new studios to be launched shortly, OpenLife announced Tuesday.
Though technically a newcomer to the adult entertainment corporate community, OpenLife represents a joint venture between two longstanding brands: Mile High Media and Gamma Entertainment. The partners intend to distribute Mason’s signature “glamcore” material through a variety of platforms including DVD, internet and broadcast.
“I’m ecstatic and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Mile High Media and Gamma Entertainment in the creation of O.L. Entertainment’s production department,” Mason said.
“This new and exciting venture provides me the chance to continue celebrating female sexuality in its gonzo form while delivering memorable visuals and intense sexual exchanges. I look forward to directing the niche-driven products I’m known for, including star showcases and a gangbang series.
“Additionally, O.L. Entertainment is presenting me with the opportunity to explore romance and art direction in a way I’ve never done before,” she continued. “It’s been an incredibly fulfilling experience thus far, and I’m looking forward to the fans seeing our work and providing valuable feedback.”
Winner of the 2012 AVN Award for Best Director – Non Feature, Mason known for combining visual aesthetics and art direction with a stylized gonzo approach. She was influential in the creation of the sensual and passionate Club 59 brand.
“I’d like to thank Elegant Angel for the immense opportunities over the past seven years and the incredible performers I’ve been so fortunate to work with,” she said. “It’s been an amazing experience I hope to continue at O.L. Entertainment.”
She also said the high-end erotica for which she is known will continue under the new contract. Fans will not go wanting for DPs and facials presented within a romantic framework that is at once pretty and filthy.
“We are extremely excited to announce Mason’s role in the creation of O.L. Entertainment’s production department,” Mile High Media Vice President and OpenLife partner Jon Blitt said.
“She is an industry icon whose work has helped redefine perceptions of female sexuality. Fans are going to love what’s in store from our new brands.”
