Max Case Looks to Possibly Mid-April

Porn Valley- We spoke to Rob Black yesterday and he basically tells us that his attorneys are looking to get the Internet charges against him dropped which would account for 6 of the 10 currently against him. With all the lawyering that’s currently going back and forth, Black feels that it might be at least Fall, if that, when his case is finally heard.
Meanwhile Max Hardcore is looking at possibly an April date when his on again, off again, Max Extreme 4 case is tried yet again. Max, who’s currently painting the walls in Chateau Max, says the case so far has eaten up three years of his life.

“For one misdemeanor count of obscenity, it looks like they’re going to haul me back and rake me over the coals one more time,” says Max. “It’s strictly, in my opinion, an effort of just total futility on their part. We had a scheduling meeting January 8 but I didn’t have to show up for that one. I told my attorneys at $250 an hour, you call me only when necessary, like when I got to show up to court, call me 30 minutes ahead of time, basically. On February 19th we go into a little song and dance to set a date which, we’re guessing is about the middle of April for the actual trial.”

In his opinion, prosecuting attorney Michele Anderson doesn’t want anything to do with the issue. “When we closed out the last trial which was about 9 days, they asked the jury what they thought,” Max continues. “They said they were irreparably deadlocked, 6 to 6. It looked to me, the way I was reading it- her face and her statements to the judge- that she had resigned herself to defeat. She said, well I think if we had presented our case a little bit differently, that we may be able to get a conviction. To that effect. Much to everyone’s amazement in the courtroom, Judge Kellogg said we’re going to let it go, if you guys want to re-file it, you can. He had the ability to end it right there but he didn’t. He passed the ball on that one.”
