Bob at Dane posts: Just had a call, and now can say we are 2 away from the number of volunteers needed for THE JERRY LEWIS MDA TELETHON.

This is on Sunday night, September 3rd from about 730 to midnite. The money has been coming in a bit better as well, and to those of you who have already contributed, I thank you. To those still wishing to donate, please call me at 888-390-0767, or 818-349-6600 and I will tell you how.

I still have some premium seats left for the AVN AWARDS SHOW at THE MANDALAY BAY IN JANUARY. These are each worth $240.00, and checks are to be made out to MDA. I will have full instructions for all volunteers by next week, and all donations should be received by next Friday, September 1st, 2006, so we can give monies that Sunday. I will pick these up, if you like.

I will post one more update next week announcing all details for that Sunday.

Again, I thank ADULT FYI, AVN, SARDO’S, SPRINGTOWN, ICON MEDIA, and BLACK AND BLUE MEDIA , and of course the great people at KSEX for their support. Without these caring people, nothing would have been accomplished. To the wonderful folks at GOOD SAMARITAN HOSPITAL, thank you for allowing me to come whenever I wanted. Hope I was not in the way. Those people who came with me there told me how the experience of seeing what is done changed their whole perspective, and they also said changed their lives. I am so happy to have been a part of this, and grateful to my friend Ed C. for covering for me the many days I had to run around to try to make this effort a success.

As you will see next week, the experience of working on a project like this is very worthwhile. No matter how jaded we become, it is a truly humbling experience, and I have seen actors and actresses in our industry reduced to tears upon leaving the hospital, with me these past few weeks.
