Mutt writes: Mutt here checking in with an interesting little story which is still unfolding. Late last night I was checking out GFY and noticed two threads by ‘ninavain’ – ninavain is a content shooter ouf of Vegas. As you know I’ve been in the content business for the last couple of years, so I’ve become pretty familiar with all the usual suspects in the LA porn agency biz. I read the two threads by ‘ninavain’ – the latter thread with Cherry Modeling in the title consisted of a link to this page on Cherry Modeling’s website http://cherrymodeling.com/jewel/index.htm -at that point I had no idea what was going on with her other disjointed post concerning America’s Most Wanted.

The girl on the Cherry Modeling page, Jewel, is a cute new girl in town that I have been aware of for about 4-6 weeks. I was sent her by a Las Vegas agent named Tomaz who runs an agency called Skin City Models. When agents send me pics of new girls I send them out to my client list – it’s been pretty slow for cute new 18 year olds, I was glad to see this girl. We did get lots of sales on her for solo and bg shoots. So I told my shooter Marco Pallotti, http://www.elevenentertainment.com to book her through Tomaz in Vegas – Tomaz told Marco we should probably forget it because the girl was in LA and flaking already and he was close to dropping her. So we did forget her.

A few weeks later Jewel appeared on Cherry Modeling’s site, as many Vegas girls do. So we booked her for a double shoot this past week. The girl showed up and Marco asked for her ID’s, immediately Marco wasn’t happy with what she handed him. Neither ID was 2257 compliant in Marco’s opinion – one was blurry enough that it would be way too risky to use and I believe the other wasn’t a state or federal issued ID – I’ll check with Marco again what it was, suffice to say it wasn’t good enough to pass Marco’s muster. So Marco told the girl to chill while he called Tara Miali the owner of Cherry Modeling.

Marco told Tara that the girl’s ID’s were no good, that she’d sent us a girl we can’t shoot which of course didn’t make us happy – a dead shoot is a dead shoot, there are no understudies for hardcore ingenues in the XXX biz. Tara who of course stood to lose her referral fees plus the % that she pulls from the money producers pay directly to her talent, in this case two bg shoots at I think $800 per scene, wasn’t happy that Marco was sending the girl home and she started to bitch at him and told him those ID’s were good enough for other people – including two well known studios Jewel had just shot for.

That’s their perogative to risk a 5 year hitch in the crowbar saloon – we can’t do that, we wont do that, we take our customers’ trust seriously and we won’t expose them to and undo risk by taking chances with bad ID’s. 2257 applies to them just as much as to us now. So Marco called somebody respected in the industry to get their feedback on what went down with Tara – not long afterwards Marco got a call from Tara screaming at him about how dare he do that and blah blah blah. Well the story on Jewel and the ID’s Marco was suspicious of is that on last night’s edition of Fox’s America’s Most Wanted there was a story on two sisters from New York City who are fugitives from justice, warrants out for them on kidnapping charges – here’s the link to the story http://www.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=28953

This girl and her sister kidnapped the sister’s two children who had been taken from Jewel’s sister by the state for abuse and neglect from I presume a foster home, ransacked the place, screaming obscenities and absconded with the two small children. According to ‘ninavain’ the agent in Vegas is sure that ‘Jewel’ is Marissa and he has met the sister as well. Now of course the content these unnamed studios and the Internet shooters shot on her is useless, the point is actually moot, even if this girl wasn’t this Marissa chick the ID’s were not up to the standards the new 2257 regulations set forth for record keeping and documentation. The longer I stay connected to the LA production side of the industry I realize it’s really run by a confederacy of nincompoops, it makes GFY look like the Harvard Business School. Mutt

P.S.: “The ID’s she presented were a check cashing card from a check cashing place–which had a photo, and a piece of paper from the Social Security Admin with her SS#… and that was beat up and torn in half. ”

I thought that Tara originally told me that ***** *********** & ************ had shot her with those ID’s. Later on, she told me that **** & ****** had shot Jewel with her proper ID’s. I can’t categorically say that Tara told me those companies shot Jewel with the bad ID’s, but that was the impression I got. Maybe Tara didn’t say that exactly and I misconstrued what she said. Maybe she said it in a way to deliberately mislead me. Or maybe she outright lied, I just can’t say. While I was shooting, Tara went to ******* and got the copies that I eventually rejected. The law says the producer must examine the ID’s, and of course, you can’t do that with copies. Plus what she brought back were a joke: the ID photo of Jewel holding her ID’s and a close up of the ID–and the quality of that wasn’t good enough for me to see if it was the same girl (the highlights were very blown out). In fact, in the ID photo the girl didn’t appear to be Jewel–she looked fatter in the face than Jewel. Anyhow, as an agent, Tara should know what the law in respect to ID’s, and shouldn’t get mad when producers insist on following the law. It’s ironic. When we were still discussing the ID’s, before we started shooting, I remember telling Tara & Jewel that to break the 2257 law would be to commit a felony, and I wasn’t going to do that. And as I’m saying that I’m looking at a fugitive who allegedly committed a felon.”
