Playboy Enterprises Inc. said Wednesday that executive vice president Bob Meyers is stepping down as head of media for the Chicago company.
The 53-year-old Meyers’ exit, which comes 30 months after he joined Playboy to head its magazine and entertainment operations, is the latest in a series of recent management changes at the financially struggling company. In December, longtime chief executive, Christie Hefner, resigned, ending a lengthy tenure in the company’s top job.
No successor to Hefner has been named, and Playboy said Wednesday that it doesn’t expect to name a replacement for Meyers in the near term; instead, interim CEO Jerome Kern will assume Meyers’ responsibilities temporarily.
