CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The boys at Nectar Entertainment migrated from mainstream over to Porn Valley just over a year ago. Now they are ready to make a move on to the World Wide Web.
AEBN announced on Monday that it has begun to offer Nectar Entertainment’s films on www.AEBN.com and its affiliate sites for viewing in streaming Pay-Per-View, Rental and Download in both Windows and Real.
AEBN is the first adult Internet company to reach an agreement to stream Nectar’s films on the Internet.
Nectar (www.Nectar.tv) was founded late last year and features a collection of directors, producers and writers who migrated from mainstream entertainment over to Porn Valley. The studio is known for producing a unique, high-end brand of “eroticore” featuring little or no dialogue and original music composed for each feature.
The studio produces two distinct lines – contract director Marty Zion’s line, and contract director Johnny Diablo’s reality series “Welcome to the Valley.” Nectar Entertainment’s first film, “Shades of Red”, was released in October 2003 to widespread critical and popular acclaim. The studio has since released close to 20 titles and plans to release two new titles per month.
“It’s been exciting,” said Nectar founder/CEO Sean Logan, whose Zion line of high-end adult content costs $85,000 to $150,000 per film to produce. Logan added that he expects the internet to account for 30 percent of sales withintwo years.
Diablo’s “Welcome To The Valley” reality titles have a budget of $40,000 to $75,000 per film, Logan said. “Welcome to the Valley 5” is currently in production and is the subject of an “On The Set Of” feature now running on www.AVNInsider.com. Logan said that a spin-off series should be ready to unveil early next year.
