The NightMoves Awards were founded in 1993 by Paul Allen at Stingers nightclub in Tampa, Florida. The initial goal was to foster unity among industry participants. Organized by NightMoves magazine, the event has operated continuously since its inception, making it the oldest such awards show in the United States. The awards feature categories for performers, directors, productions, and regional talent. Winners are determined by a hybrid system, with 60% fan votes and 40% selections from NightMoves judges. This system marked it as the first adult awards to incorporate widespread fan and internet voting. The event is typically held over four days in the Tampa Bay area, usually in October, and includes club appearances, the main ceremony at venues like Emperors Tampa, and the Showgirl Invitational Dance Contest.

NightMoves Magazine and Recent Nominations

NightMoves Magazine originated in 1988 and is described as the longest-running regional adult publication in the USA. The magazine features articles, advertisements, and exclusive photos from Tampa Bay area adult establishments and entertainers. It also includes national content with articles written by Mo Seyam, Miles Long, and Kelly Johnson. Art Koch, an AVN voting member and XRCO Hall of Fame Inductee, serves as the Senior Movie Reviewer.

NightMoves Multi-Media has been nominated for two ASN Awards in 2026: Best Magazine and Best Trade Show / Expo / Convention. The ASN Awards are scheduled for August 21-22, 2026, in Orlando. Voting for the ASN Awards was open from April 13, 2026, to July 21, 2026. The ASN Awards program is presented by ASN Entertainment, LLC, and aims to include all sectors of the Lifestyle Adult Industry. The two-day event includes a Networking Mixer and Fan Fair on Friday, August 21, from 1 PM to 9 PM, and an Awards Show on Saturday, August 22, from 5 PM to 11 PM.
