from www.mirror.co.uk – A music teacher is facing jail after yesterday admitting having sex with two 16-year-old pupils.

A court heard that married mum Jennifer Philp-Parsons, 45, groomed the two boys and then plied them with booze.

She had sex with one boy once in April and twice with the other boy in May.

Prosecutor Lyndsey Baker said: “Both victims had sexual intercourse with her at her home.

“There was a degree of coercion, the use of alcohol, a considerable age difference of 30 years and a breach of trust.”

She added that Philp-Parsons had provided the boys with a kettle and toaster in a music room and took one of them to McDonald’s for a meal and to Costa for a coffee.

Rumours began circulating about what had happened but the teacher made no comment when she was first ­interviewed by police.

But in a second police interview she “fully admitted” the offences.

Philp-Parsons, of Exmouth, Devon, sat with her head bowed as she was told she would be sentenced at Exeter crown court next month.

She faces up to two years’ jail.

She was freed on bail by Exeter magistrates and left court with her husband.

A Devon county council spokesman said they would now be starting disciplinary action against her.
