On Saturday, October 9, adult film star, Ron Jeremy, and XXXchurch Pastor, Craig Gross will square off at the Rock Church [in San Diego] in a controversial debate on whether the pornography industry is beneficial or detrimental to our society and culture.

In addition to starring in over 2,000 films, Ron Jeremy is also ranked No. 1 in Adult Video News’ “50 Top Porn Stars of All Time” list. Jeremy will defend his profession in the ‘Great Porn Debate’ against Craig Gross, pastor and founder of XXXchurch.com. Gross’ website offers “spiritual solutions” to pornography. In the past four years, they have had over 60 debates.

While Jeremy and Gross have faced off before, discussing everything from violent video games to porn’s influence as de facto sex ed for children in the age of the internet, this will be the first time that the two debate in a church setting.

Gross explains, “For the last four years we have hit up college campuses and a few nightclubs with the porn debate. We have never been to a Christian university or a church. I am always the underdog and I kind of like it that way. Although, I think it would be great to bring Ron into my world just a bit, no one invites us.

On Saturday, October 9, Gross and Jeremy will do the unthinkable and have the ‘Great Porn Debate’ at the Rock Church in San Diego. In March, they will bring the debate to Eastlake Church in Seattle, Washington.

As part of the debate, Jeremy and Gross will also field questions from the audience.
