DETROIT, MI — Outkast will soon appear on a new series for Playboy TV called “Buckwild.” The premise of “Buckwild” is a raw and uncensored look at some of today’s hottest hip-hop acts as they go about their business. Don’t look for Outkast at the pharmacy or Snoop Dogg getting his car washed, however, the “business” the guys get down to is mostly pretty racy, as is the rest of the show’s content. Look for them at strip clubs, lingerie shopping for their girls or engaging in their favorite extreme sport. In addition, uncensored music videos (read: dirty) will be interspersed with special features such as “Sex Tip of the Day,” “That’s Ass,” and “Eye Candy.”
“‘Buckwild’ is the ultimate hip hop fantasy show,” says host and producer Ken “Buckwild” Francis. “It’s hip hop raw and uncensored as only Playboy can do it! Playboy TV is bringing it to you straight, no chaser!”
Outkast aren’t the first hip-hop stars to dabble in porn. Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and Lil Jon have all appeared in various X-rated movies, and a new magazine called “Fish’n’Grits” formally marries the two as the first porn/hip-hop magazine ever published. Says Camille Evans, publisher and editor of “Fish’n’Grits,” “We’ve been using sex to sell music for years. Now we’re just flipping it to have music sell sex.”
