Porn Valley- In a house a couple of doors down from where they shot the day before, Kelly Holland [aka Toni English] must have received the same talent agency e-mail as I did. As she glances at her lap tap screen, Holland repeats a name to herself. Her lips are moving somewhat in disbelief.

“Whitney Fears?” she asks aloud. “Who would name themselves Whitney Fears?”

Holland, who was shooting a couple of movies for Penthouse this week titled Frat House and My Freshman Year, was trying to find a substitute for one of the coeds in her cast. This scene is scheduled for 8pm with Otto Bauer. Holland calls Gold Star Modeling and is asked when’s the girl going to be done.

“We don’t play that game,” says Holland. “She’s done when we’re done with her.” The reason Holland’s asked this question, she’s told, is that Gold Star will only book girls until 6pm because there’s some issue about the driver, that he doesn’t like being out late. Holland can’t believe what she’s hearing.

“That’s ridiculous,” Holland is saying to someone on the phone. “What does the driver have, a curfew? Get me Joel [Lawrence]. Let me talk to Joel. Okay, have him call me. We’re Penthouse for godssake.”

Holland has booked both Otto and his wife Audrey Hollander before. Though they’re not working together in this movie, they have worked as a couple for Holland in the past. In a Penthouse movie called Svengali which Holland thinks will be out in a couple of months. She finds Otto and Audrey’s off-screen dynamic a fascinating one to probe.

“I’ve been curious about their relationship,” states Holland. “I did that movie to answer some questions I have. Otto and Audrey are a great case study. I love it any time I get to play with ideas like that.”

[Despite what Holland’s saying, I think I get a sense of that relationship later in the day when Audrey explains how she bought this old Jeep Wagoneer with Otto telling me how he’s poured thousands into it to keep it running.]

Although auto mechanics generally prevail, Audrey has clearly worked the submissive angle elsewheres- on camera. But Holland believes Aydrey has a serious dominant streak to her. Holland remembers one scene, as an example, where Audrey fucks Christian in the butt with a strap-on. As if this is startling news where Christian’s asshole is concerned.

Holland says she’s always getting interviewed about being a female director who supposedly exploits women. Holland sees it more as reaching in and exploring the “bad girl” in the apparent good girl facade.

“You see all these girls gone wild,” she points out. “But the next morning they’re making excuses for their behavior. ‘Oh I was drunk. I would never have done that.’ They need drinking as an excuse.” But Holland, who used to work for Playgirl, thinks all of this mental compromising is going the way of the Paris Hilton press release, that she sees more and more women on sets who want guys calling them bitches and sluts.

Holland and I are talking about the deal in which Penthouse bought Danni’s Hard Drive several months ago. Now there’s a story about female empowerment for you. No one knew who the fuck Danni Ashe was until Danni’s Hard Drive came along. And Ashe was just some obscure T&A girl shaking her tits for mail order videos.

“In this day of triple anals, she had a brand loyalty of customers who just want to see big boob topless girls,” intones Holland as if delivering a eulogy.

[Say what you will about T&A, but I’m willing to bet there’s probably more of that type of fan than there are hardcore fans. But that’s another topic for another day.]

Jenna Presley [pictured] is dolling up for her scene with Mikey Butders. Presley’s wearing robin’s egg blue cotton panties but insists that college girls do not wear these things.

“I’ve been wearing thongs since the age of 12,” Presley laughs. Steven St. Croix, dressed in a black suit and no cotton panties, is checking Presley out from a second story staircase.

“She has great arches,” St. Croix observes. “You into feet?” Absolutely, I tell him.

“You have great feet!” St. Croix hollers down to Presley. I ask St. Croix what happened to his show on KSEX because I was really getting into the drama of it.

“I gave it a shot for four months,” he shrugs. “The problem was booking the talent. Half the girls wouldn’t show up and the agencies weren’t cooperating.” Then after awhile, St. Croix wondered if anyone was even listening to the show. St. Croix mentions the fact that he was at Jenna Jameson’s Birthday party at the 40 Deuce Club the other night.

“No fights broke out,” he smiles. St. Croix mentions that actor Stephen Dorff was also there. In the Penthouse movie, St. Croix’s playing the dean of a school only to discover that coed Lexi Belle [this movie’s equivalent of Phoebe Cates], has slipped into his house by mistake and is using his shower.

One of the crew members asks about the latest word on the sequel to Pirates. St. Croix comes up with a your guess is as good as mine answer but imagines there will be one.

As he’s having a smoke outside, Otto is saying he’s got a great idea for his scene, that he’ll play a Philosophy professor and baffle the girl with concepts. With the company of some Guinness, Otto and I take a walk next door. Next door is where Rick Davis is shooting an interracial gangbang. Dr. X, taking a swipe at a Subway sandwich, is saying that this new girl, Isabella,just did a phenomenal scene. Isabella is with Mia Bang’s new agency, I’m told.

Sooner or later every performer will have an agency. And their drivers will all have curfews.
