VAN NUYS, CA – Adult entertainment studio Pink Visual, known for crafting innovative applications of its own, announced today the release of a new development tool, “PV API” (), designed to tap into the creativity of developers outside the company.
“The idea behind PV API is to put our data and content in the hands of developers and programmers around the globe and encourage them to be as creative as possible in the applications that they build,” said Allison Vivas [pictured], President of Pink Visual. “We’re really looking forward to seeing what people come up with, and we hope that this opportunity will draw some new and talented developers into the adult entertainment sector.”
Using PV API, developers can create essentially any manner of adult-themed site or application that they can imagine, Vivas said, including full-fledged websites, games, index-style link sites and mobile apps.
“There are terms and conditions that developers will have to abide by, of course, but we’re not going to put a lot of limitations in place beyond common sense rules,” Vivas said. “The whole idea is to give creative people a chance to put their imagination to work in a way that benefits both the developer and Pink Visual.”
Vivas said that Pink Visual would soon be launching a ‘challenge promotion’ for developers in order to encourage a high volume of quality app submissions. The winner of the challenge will have the opportunity to be flown out to attend the ‘Pron Party’ Pink Visual is throwing in Las Vegas on January 10, 2012.
“We want to encourage developers to put their best foot forward with these apps,” Vivas said. “A chance to enjoy a trip to Vegas and party with porn stars– gives developers a pretty compelling reason to register for a development key and get to work.” The official announcement of the Challenge is scheduled for October 12th, 2011.
