VAN NUYS, Calif. – Adult studio Pink Visual announced today that it will take advantage of next month’s Adult Entertainment Expo to promote two new product lines; an environmentally-friendly DVD line called “Plant Your Wood,” and the company’s new premium gay content division, Male Spectrum.
Plant Your Wood was developed as a response to the green environmental movement sweeping the country and the media, according to Pink Visual Brand & Product Manager, Kim Kysar.
“We initially began by reducing energy consumption at our office through more conventional means, such as shutting down computers at night, recycling, and moving to a paperless payroll system,” Kysar said. “But then we asked ourselves, ‘Why stop there?’”
The company is now working to make PinkVisual.com a “carbon-neutral” site, Kysar said, meaning that Pink Visual will conserve as much energy as it takes to operate the site, as well as purchasing carbon credits to offset electricity use. The release of Plant Your Wood will extend the company’s environmentally-conscious campaign to its physical product lines, as well.
“Plant Your Wood is made from recycled packaging, uses earth-friendly inks, and is 100% recyclable,” Kysar said. “We’re also donating $1 from every Plant Your Wood DVD we sell to Trees for the Future, a non-profit tree planting organization. For each dollar donated, Trees for the Future plants 10 trees.
Kysar said the new Male Spectrum line represents a concerted effort on the part of the company to optimize its gay content, and enhance its appeal to the gay market.
“Male Spectrum is unlike anything we’ve done before,” Kysar said. “We spent the past year seeking out directors whose only focus is producing high-end gay content known to be truly competitive in the gay market, and we are very pleased with the results. Male Spectrum’s steamy scenes perform extremely well on MaleSpectrum.com, and we expect that success will translate into strong DVD sales. Our first Male Spectrum title, Straight Guys Take the Bait, was released on December 12th, and we’ll be showcasing it heavily at AEE.”
