Playboy June Issue Features 3D Centerfold

from www.usatoday.com – Just in from AP: Playboy’s going 3D.

Never mind those movie aliens and dragons. “What would people most like to see in 3-D?” asked Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. “Probably a naked lady.” The magazine’s June edition hits newsstands Friday with 3-D glasses.

Playboy needed to do something to boost circulation, which has dropped from 3.5 million in 2006 to 1.5 million today. Editorial director Jimmy Jellinek, tells AP the issue featuring centerfold Hope Dworaczyk in 3-D is designed to remind readers that for all the infatuation with the Internet, there is nothing quite like having a magazine in your hands. And don’t worry, there are plenty of 2-D pics in the issue, too, noted Hef.
