Actually Smith would have made a better case comparing porn to professional wrestling because porn stars and wrestlers both tend to use drugs and wind up dead in motel rooms.

According to Smith, a demand for “spectacle” has encouraged both football and porn to become more dangerous.

What football is Smith watching? Because even if he had a rudimentary knowledge of the game, he’d know that the NFL is cracking down with more safety precautions and rules to eliminate their having to dish out massive settlements.

In a celebrated class action suit, The NFL reached a tentative $765 million settlement last week over concussion-related brain injuries among its 18,000 retired players, agreeing to compensate victims, pay for medical exams and underwrite research.

A class action suit like that is looming in the porn industry if Diane Duke remains at the helm any longer. Rob Black also took a crack at Smith last night calling him a “hipster douchebag”.

“The NFL protects its players because they’re the ones making the money,” said Black.

“Only a hipster douchebag that know nothing about sports could equate the NFL and porn. Talk to any football player and ask them if they’re cool with getting HIV.”

Black also pointed to the NFL investigation over the MRSA bacteria found in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers locker room. The facility was treated prevent an outbreak after kicker Lawrence Tynes and Pro Bowl guard Carl Nicks contracted the infection.

“Football players have a zillion in precautions that have been in place to protect players,” said Black.

“Porn stars have no protection. They’re not allowed to wear a condom where, when a scene is shot right, you can’t even tell they’re wearing them. I defy any football player to hear our work conditions and ask if that would be cool in the NFL with Gene Upshaw.

“They would say, hell, no. Our industry has no safety regulations and no one is going to take the initiative to comply. It’s going to be forced on everybody. The minute somebody gets busted with a Cal/OSHA hit, you got to lay out a couple hundred thousand. Then they’ll realize this can happen every week unless you go to condoms. When this condom bill becomes law, no one will be a renegade pirate.
