Porn Valley- I spoke to Craig Valentine Saturday morning and he tells me he won his case against Rebecca Hilton in Van Nuys Court this past week. None other than Don Hollywood was repping Valentine. Valentine, who’s nursing a fucked up back, was served with papers by Hilton during the AEE Show.
“We got served by Rebecca Hilton,” says Valentine. “Basically they turned around and decided not to finish paying their bill for the movies I shot for them.” Valentine shot three for Hilton. One was completed, and Valentine is holding the masters and paperwork for the other two in lieu of payment for those. Valentine got paid for the first movie which has gone out to the stores. It’s titled The Not So Simple Porn Life.
“But then they turned around and decided they were not going to finish paying the bills for the movies,” says Valentine, noting that some, but not all of the production costs had been recovered on those two. “So I never gave them the releases.” According to Valentine, Hilton and her husband decided to sue him in Los Angeles.
“They basically want all of the movies whether they paid us or not,” Valentine explains. “For some god only knows reason they’re suing me in L.A. We went before the Van Nuys judge and he completely threw the case out. There was no reason to be in court. There was no reason to be in a Los Angeles court.” Valentine says the judge issued a 3-page order on why the case was the most absurd thing he had ever seen in his life.
“If anybody has any of those scenes,” Valentine continues, “they don’t have any documentation on them. It’s all tucked away in my vault with the original masters- it ain’t going nowhere. I’m not even releasing that stuff. I’m just chalking it off to a bad experience.”
Valentine also says that Arnold Stein of Old Pueblo Distribution got involved in the matter about six months ago.
“He got them as clients and they dropped me as their production company and orchestrated the lawsuit,” says Valentine who admits there’s no proven fact that OPD was the motivating force behind the lawsuit.
“But I wouldn’t be surprised,” he says.
Valentine says he’s filed against Hilton in Florida to get his money and while he can’t comment on the case some of the things he was telling me about it off the record are hysterical. However Valentine notes that all the movies he shot for Hilton were in Florida and part of the case is based on the fact that Hilton claims she never was in Florida. In other news Valentine says Dane’s been moving his product out the door pretty good. And Valentine has also been shooting gay movies.
“Rob Spallone says I’m gay but, you know something? I’m being paid real well to shoot it,” says Valentine. “I showed Rob the invoices and he’s going, you got paid what!? I swear to god he almost hit the fucking floor when he saw the invoice. He said he was considering filming the stuff. It’s all the porn business. You got a guy sticking a dick in a girl’s ass. Here you’re shooting a guy sticking his dick in another guy’s ass. I don’t give a fuck just as long as no one touches me on set. I’m the cameraman. I’m the director. If I want to have fun I’ll go to the swingers’ club; or if I want to have fun I’ll go home and fuck my wife.”
Valentine also wrapped up Dawg The Booty Hunter this week.
“Rob Spallone almost threw Herschel Savage off the mountain- the Captain & Tenille place,” laughs Valentine. “We arrested him. I had to pre-arrest Ron Jeremy before he went to The Surreal Life House; there was Rod Fontana. We missed Chris Cannon and Dino Bravo we just decided to go to The Lamplighter instead of arresting him. Spallone took Fontana and basically had him six inches off the ground, pinned up against the garage door. I think Rob was working out frustrations that day. I’m supposed the be Dawg and Rob’s out there killing everybody. But if you want to see a short Italian guy running through a warehouse after somebody, I never knew Spallone could move that quick.”
