A porn star who was once a Penthouse Pet and an actor who appeared in the very non-macho Gilmore Girls have combined to produce a new form of online titillation – PG porn.

Actor Sean Gunn, Scooby-Doo screenplay writer James Gunn and third Gunn brother Brian have put together a web TV site for porn fans who don’t want the sex.

With its origins in a sibling joke about creating something for lovers of the porn genre who were offended by full-on sexual activity, the PG Porn site launched its latest film yesterday.

Nailing Your Wife has everything the traditional porn film has – bad acting, over-the-top emotion and the stereotypical big-breasted vixen in Aria Giovanni – but none of the nudity.

It can even boast a Desperate Housewife, although in this case it’s Nathan Fillion, better known as Dr Adam Mayfair to watchers of the US TV series, who is the male stud of the film.

“This is a place where the porn and the mainstream film industries meet and get to have some understanding of each other,” said James Gunn, a writer, director and producer.

“We like to pretend that we’re miles and miles away from pornography, but we’re not.”

Predictably, concerns about the content of the site – despite its lack of nudity or actual sex – have been aired following the online ‘premiere’.

Bob Peters, the president of US-based Morality in Media, said he was concerned that watchers of PG Porn would progress to the more hardcore variety.

“In the real world of pornography, if you want to get your start in pornography you start in the gutter,” he said.

“So real people are abused in the production of pornography.”
