Private is planning to kick off the spring season in style with the release of Cleopatra 2: The Legend Of Eros, the sequel to the company’s award-winning blockbuster Cleopatra, which continues the torrid tale of the steamy sex adventures of Cleopatra. Following the discovery of the ancient queen, genetic wizardry is put into play in a secret laboratory hidden in the depths of the sinister “Astrick Corporation” in order to bring her back. Julia Taylor returns in the lead role, sharing starring duties with Laura Angel, Rita Faltoyano, Sandra Russo and Bettina.
“The second installment picks up right where the first one left off,” says Private USA general manager Ric Williams. “Not only does it boast six hot scenes, but the movie is nearly two hours long. That’s a lot of action!”
In addition to offering several different language choices, fully animated menus and a “Making Of” documentary, the sexually stylish production will be packaged in a new Glider case, a DVD cover that is 7mm thick named for holding a disc in a locked space rather than on a hub.
“Have you ever bought a new DVD and before you opened it, it rattled because the DVD came off of the hub? That is a “shaker,'” Williams notes. “Retailers hate it because a customer usually will leave it on the shelf and take one that doesn’t shake. The new case eliminates shakers.”
Additionally, the Glider case is easier to stock, as two Gliders equal the size of one standard DVD case, therefore doubling the storage capacity and shelf space for the retailer. This also gives mail order and Internet retailers the opportunity to save on mailing costs for their customers.
“The entire supply-chain profits from the Glider’s size: transport space and the storage capacity in warehouses and shops are doubled,” Williams says. “Retailers and video shops can display twice as many titles in the same space. And last but not least, the consumer experiences the slim format and light weight as a welcome alternative.”
Cleopatra 2: The Legend Of Eros will be released the week of March 29th.
