WWW- According to a recent report, during a two-week raid conducted by New Jersey police in and around Atlantic City casinos, 136 people were detained. The arrested were charged with prostitution-related offenses.
State and local police used undercover male and female agents who captured the accused inside and outside of casinos. 78 of the 133 individuals captured and charged with prostitution, were actually arrested inside casinos. Three men were accused of promoting prostitution.
The Atlantic City Municipal Court released each of the 109 women arrested, on bail ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. Officials from the state police were reported as saying that members of the Bloods street gang were involved in the affair, as it was discovered that they ran prostitutes in areas adjacent to casinos.
