CBS-TV news will feature a special report on Dennis Hof’s world famous Love Ranch brothel tonight, November 1st, as part of it’s regular 11PM (PST)-Channel 2 broadcast. The segment’s debut comes after CBS reporters spent weeks filming and interviewing the “working girls” of the Love Ranch, both on-site at their Carson City, Nevada location, as well as throughout southern California.
“We were very pleased when CBS approached us wanting to do an exclusive feature on the Love Ranch, and the women that work here, so we completely opened up our doors to them, we let them film and interview whatever and whomever they wanted,” says the brothel’s General Manager Marc Medoff,
“It’s going to provide an inside behind-the-scenes look at a legal working American brothel that has rarely ever been seen before. We are very proud of our women and our facility here, and are looking forward to sharing that with the rest of the country.”
The CBS report comes just weeks after the Love Ranch brothel was featured on the cover of the LA Weekly (Sept 3-9, 2010) examining the lives and fortunes of a number of prostitutes who toil at the brothel to support their families, fund higher education, and pay their bills.
Likewise the CBS feature will provide an in-depth look at the variety and diversity of today’s “legal prostitutes,” ranging from college students to grandmothers, from bored soccer moms to out-of-work executives, from exhibitionists to pregnant newlyweds. CBS also interviewed working girls’ family members, brothel staffers as well as Love Ranch owner, bordello baron Dennis Hof, who also owns the Moonlite Bunny Ranch, located nearby.
The CBS-TV news segment will air in Los Angeles at 11PM (PST) on Channel 2—and then be picked up by other CBS stations over the next several days. A second part of the feature, focusing on the individual experience of one of the Love Ranch women will air a week later on KCAL-9 in the LA area.
